On Page 1 you will see a small twinkle in the left eye of Nova's grandfather : This twinkle is referenced multiple times, most notably on the final page of the story.

Hidden Mice
Throughout each illustration in this story, you can find two little mice somewhere throughout the scene. Whether they are dancing, riding the back of a sea animal, or just enjoying a glimpse at what is happening around them, these two are an integral part of the visual aspect of this story. Have fun trying to find them all !

Books
Early in the story we see that these books actually belong to Nova's grandfather as they sit upon his table in the image of Nova and his grandfather sharing ice-cream. We also see these books later in the story as they sit upon a shelf in Nova's bedroom, as he continues to grieve his grandfather's passing. These books are also an ode to the author's grandfather as each book was titled specifically and with intention of representing different aspects of their relationship together.
